well i saw a ghost in my reflection
she was telling me to breathe
but i've been chocking all along
and it's a funny thing when you can't see yourself
staring hopelessly for hours
when there's nothing left but a ghost
you used to know

and i see galaxies
in everyone but me
and it's been days since i've not cried
and i'm learning not to try
and i'm clinging on to what i used to be

well i saw a ghost in the corner of my room
playing solitaire and wearing cheap perfume
she gave me a grin and i started to cry
cause for the first time in a long time
i didn't have to try anymore

and i saw galaxies
inside of me
and it's been days since i've not cried

and i'm letting go of what i used to be

i saw a ghost
standing in my doorway
wearing a big teeshirt
she said she couldn't stay
but she'd write twice a week
and think about me everyday
and for the first time in a long time
